Landowners interested in rural lifestyles rather than primary production, are a significant group of landowners many countries. Among these landowners, distinctions made between the management practices and motivations absentee resident landowners. Absentee not uncommonly depicted as poor land managers meeting their responsibilities. Evidence, however, on this is mixed. With focus invasive plant Australia, we compare motivations, attitudes, two high amenity areas New South Wales, Australia. We found that attitudes surrounding were very similar but there some key differences barriers to management. Our data suggests difference residential therefore, may be overstated with respect
